- Mrs. Linda Blanche Isaacs Presnell, age 77, of Browns Chapel Road, Boone and formerly of Zionville, died Friday evening, August 12, 2011 at Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation.
Born April 29, 1934 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Enoch and Martha Isaacs Cornett. Mrs. Presnell was a homemaker and a member of Henson's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; Johnny Presnell, four daughters; Lois Evans and husband, Ed, of Boone, Maxie Jones and husband, Jerry, of Vilas, Janet Snyder and husband, Michael, of Gray, Tennessee, and Carla Presnell of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; one son Mark Presnell of Wilkesboro; 10 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren, one sister; Shirley Sanders of Lenoir, and two brothers; John Isaacs of Sugar Grove, and Joe Isaacs and wife, Kay, of Lenoir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Smith, Edna Henson, and Ruby Isaacs, and two brothers, Ben and Rom Isaacs.
Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Blanche Isaacs Presnell will be conducted Sunday afternoon, August 14, 2011, at 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dan Church. Burial will follow at Henson's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 until 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
