- James Arnett - JOHNSON CITY
James Edward (Jim) Arnett, 60, 232 Mosier Road, Johnson City, passed away suddenly Monday, November, 12, 2007, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late Edward Long Arnett and Pansy Swanner Arnett, of Johnson City. Mr. Arnett was a construction worker and a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his loving wife, Mary Cole Arnett; four sons, James Arnett and his wife, Carolyn, Blaine Arnett and his wife, Alyssia, Brad Arnett and his wife, Andrea, and Edward Arnett and his girlfriend, Renee Elliot; two brothers, Jerry Arnett and his wife, Joyce, and Wallace Arnett, all of Johnson City; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, James Holden and John.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday, November 15, 2007, in the Monte Vista Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jack Maupin officiating. Pallbearers will be Hack Arnett, Rick Arnett, Jakie Ferguson, Brian Ferguson, Tony Casey, Mark Arnett and Paul Bailey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery for the service. The family will also receive friends at other times at the residence, 232 Mosier Road, Johnson City.
