JAMES KELLEY
James Kelley, age 60, lifetime resident of Carter County, passed away Wednesday evening at 10 o'clock at the home of D. H. Ellis, route 3. Mr. Kelley suffered a heart attack Tuesday afternoon and was taken to the home of Mr. Ellis.
Mr. Kelley was a member of the Keenburg Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors are three daughters, Mary, Pauline and Kate Kelley of route 3; one son, Pvt. Elwood Kelley, stationed in India; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Gouge of Jamestown, N. J., Mrs. Etta Gouge of route 3, and Mrs. Nanny Estep of Elizabethton.
Funeral services will be held at the Keenburg Freewill Baptist Church at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon with the Rev. E. F. Drayne, pastor of the church, in charge. Burial will be in the Estep Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Carmack Danner, John Russell, Rhudy Jenkins, Billy Morris, J. M. Andes, and Homer Ellis.
