- ELIZABETHTON — Claude T. Irick, 92, Elizabethton passed away Wednesday March 9, 2011, in the Pine Ridge Care Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late John A. & Maybell Irick. He was a retired employee of Nor-Well Company.
Mr. Irick served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was a recipient of the Bronze Star & Purple Heart. He was a member of Dashiell Masonic Lodge #238. He was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Onnis Hicks Irick; and his life Partner, Emma Beam; four sons: Alan Irick, James Irick, Lloyd Beam & Lonnie Ford Beam; and three sisters.
Survivors include Six Sons: Tom Beam and wife, Lori, Bob Irick and wife, Jeannette, both of Elizabethton, C.L. Irick and wife, Cindy, Rogersville, Lawrence Beam, Larry Beam and wife, Shirley, and Junior Beam and wife, Joyce, all of Elizabethton; Four Daughters: Wanda Singleton and husband, Arland, Roan Mountain, Mary McClean and husband, Paul, Fries, Virginia, Jean Smith, Hampton, and Linda Hawkins, Elizabethton; A Daughter-In-Law: Betty Irick, Elizabethton; 15 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Chatman officiating.
Graveside Service and Interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Walnut Mountain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion & Tennessee National Guard.
