DEATHS
James B. Parsons, 59, of 5755 Berry Creek, Houston, Tex., formerly of Johnson County, died Tuesday in a Houston Hospital, after an illness of several months. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local No. 84, and a member of the Christ Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise Parsons, of Houston, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Parsons, Mountain City; one brother, George Parsons, Mountain City; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Potter, Kennett Square, Pa., Mrs. Nina Shelton, Kennett Square, Pa., and Mrs. Edith Fenner, Harve De Grace, Md.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, 2 p.m., from the Gentry Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Gillespie and Rev. Virgel Booher officiating.
Pallbearers were Junior Ward, Frank Icenhour, Alvin Buchanan, Charles Williams, Junior Icenhour, and Bill Morefield.
Flower-bearers were friends and neighbors.
Lewis Gentry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
