Mrs. Hazel Willie Morefield. . .
Mrs. Hazel Willie Morefield, age 46, Route 1, Shouns, Forge Creek Community, died Saturday at 5:50 p.m. at her residence after an illness of two years. She was a native of Johnson County, and a member of the Nelson Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include the husband, Elbert D. Morefield, Shouns; three sons, Carroll Morefield, Ray Morefield and Fred Morefield all of Shouns; one daughter, Mrs. Muriel Payne, Shouns; a brother, Fred Forrester, Kingsport; the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Potter, Shouns; two grandchildren; two nephews and three nieces.
Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from Nelson Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ernest Carrier and Rev. Ernest Rash officiating. Burial was in the Forrester cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower bearers were friends and neighbors.
