- Hazel Pleasant - BUTLER
BUTLER - Hazel D. Pleasant, 74, 106 Dugger Hollow Rd., Butler, died Friday morning, November 5, 2004, at Life Care Center in Elizabethton. A native of Johnson County, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Stella Grindstaff Deloach. Mrs. Pleasant retired as a Nursing Assistant. She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Pleasant; one sister; and five brothers. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Teresa Pleasant and David and Sandra Pleasant, of Butler; two step-sons and daughters-in-law: Truett and Sue Pleasant, of Butler, and Justin and Karen Pleasant, of Fullerton, California; Five Grand-children: Justin Pleasant, Barry Pleasant, Liza Brooks, Chris Pleasant and Scotty Pleasant; four sisters: Pauline Gentry, of Emily City, Michigan, Mary Cassar, Concord, N.C., Laura Deloach and Elmina Deloach, of Elizabethton; one brother, Floyd Deloach, of Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Phillips and Rev. Burl Garland officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Family Cemetery. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the Funeral Home at 1:50 p.m., will be: Jeff McCoury, Pooner Powell, Blaine Branch, Darrell Mullins, Dean Campbell and David Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and employees of Life Care Center and House Call Home Health. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence, 106 Dugger Hollow Rd., Butler.
