JOHN HOWARD SHANKLE
John Howard Shankle, 15 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Shankle, of Carter, died in a local hospital at 3:45 o'clock Friday afternoon after several weeks of illness.
Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home at Carter, Tenn. The Rev. W. M. Howell will officiate. Interment will be in the Morrell Cemetery near Childress.
The deceased is survived by his parents; four sisters, Mrs. Clyde Harden, Mrs. Alford Petters[sic], Miss Louise Shankle, and Miss Thelma Shankle; four brothers, Elbert Clyde, Glean, and Pusell[sic] Shankle.
Pall bearers: Erve Harden, Earl Renfro, Crowford Harden, Hobert Petters, Coy Petters, Gilbert Petters.
Flower bearers: Elma Petters, Anna Renfro, Alune Renfro, Mona Cole, Amie Petters, Lela Harden, Ina Cole, Leola Petters.
