MRS. DORA S. FAIR
Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Shoemaker Fair, age 56, who died Monday, April 12 at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Ralph Johnson, 710 North East street, will be conducted at the Free Will Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. C. Howington in charge, assisted by Rev. Mack Hodge. Interment will be in the Highland cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the church from one to two o'clock Thursday.
Music will be in charge of Mrs. Myrtle McManus with special music by Luther Hampton and Mrs. N. T. Williams.
Survivors are her husband, Robert Fair; four children, Mrs. Roy Angel, Mrs. Viola Fair, Clyde Fair, of Elizabethton; Lester Fair, Hagerstown, Md.; two step daughters, Mrs. Brown Burrow, Mrs. Claude Nidiffer, of Elizabethton; mother, Mrs. Laura Hennegar; three sisters, Mrs. Eula Keys, of Dar, Va., Mrs. Etta Shelton, Marion, Ohio; Mrs. Cordie Shelton of North Carolina; four brothers, John Shoemaker, Lenoir, N. C.; Fred Shoemaker, N. C.; Charlie and James Hennegar, Marion, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
Flower bearers will be Mrs. Clarence Howington, Mrs. Clara Morrow, Mrs. John Fair, Mrs. Ida Deloach, Mrs. Walter Nave, Mrs. Eliza Crumley, Mrs. Mae Jenkins, Mrs. Edgar McKinney, Mrs. Joe Cardwell, Mrs. Sheriff Fair, Mrs. Mary Fair, Miss Lucille Grayson, Mrs. Lawrence Roberts, Mrs. Eliza Campbell, Miss Mary Ann Perry, Mrs. Jess Elliott, Mrs. Bob Treadway, Mrs. Cora Price, Mrs. Al Hathaway.
Active pallbearers will be John Puryear, Spence White, Monroe Winters, Harry Bowers, Ollie Garrison and Joe Brooks.
