- Eva Mae Green Moody (Granny), 93, Johnson City, passed away peacefully Friday, June 10, 2016, at the home of her daughter, Eva Estelle Moody, whom she had lived with for the past nine years.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Moody, four brothers: Brady Green, Burnett Green, Fred Green and Lester Green, and her son-in-law, Bob Bennett.
Eva loved genealogy, spending many years tracing family lines for both sides of the family. In her later years, she became a volunteer crocheting literally thousands of hats for the Med Center, Samaritan’s Purse and the Cancer Center.
Eva was a lifelong member of Locust Street Church of Christ, where she attended faithfully until her health declined.
Those left to cherish Eva’s memory include her two daughters: Eva Estelle Moody and Charlotte Bennett, granddaughter, Diana Estelle Laws and her husband Ricky, great-grandson, Caleb Laws and his wife Danielle, sister, Beulah “Boots” Burnette, special friend, Sharon Wrinn.
