- James Landon "Bud" Fenner, age 72, of Mountain City, TN passed away on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at the Mountain City Care Center. He was a Johnson County native and a sone of the late Arthur "Tip" Fenner, Sr. and Edith Parsons Fenner. Mr. Fenner was retired from Thomasville Furniture. "Bud" was a big Dale Ernhardt fan and he loved workin on his old cars, farming and had a great love for Johnson County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Charsha and Julia Ward, and one brother, Frank Fenner.
Survivors include, one stepson, Kenneth "Timmy" Taylor and wife Missy of Mountain City, TN, two sisters, Mary Woody of Gray, TN and Jane McCormick and husband Sonny of Havre De Grace, MD, two step grandchildren, Amber and Brittany Taylor of Mountain City, TN and several nieces and nephews. Special friends Buford Lipford, Spencer Roark and Jim Thorton also survive.
Funeral services for James Landon "Bud" Fenner will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 from Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Spencer Roark officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Will Fenner, Wade Fenner, Scott Fenner, Dana Buchanan, Bruce Reece, Joseph Greer, Adam Greer and Chet Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Nathan Ward, Bryce McKinney, Sonny McCormick, Matthew Miller, Charles Williams, Buford Lipford, Lester Ward, Mark Miller, Earl Farmer and Howard Stout. A special thanks to Dr. Jim Shine, Mountain City EMS, Moutain City Care and Rehabilitation Center and the doctors and nurses at Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
