- Mrs. Vina Jane Wilson 81 of Route 7, Elizabethton, died at 4:00 am Thursday following an illness of four months. She died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Berry of Route 7, Elizabethton where she made her home. She was a native of Carter County and a member of the Union Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bertie McNabb, Mrs. Otis Bryant of Johnson City; Mrs. Clarence Berry of Elizabethton and Mrs. Tine Potter of Akron, Ohio; three sons, Will Wilson of Butler, Carl Wilson and Fate Wilson of Hampton; one sister, Mrs. E.G. roark of Johnson City; three brothers, Jim, Hooker and George Oliver of Hampton; twenty-seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Vina Jane Wilson will be held at 2 pm Saturday from the Union Baptist Church at Hampton. Officiating will be the Rev. G.H. Glass and Rev. W.W. Ward. Music by the Hardin Brothers Quartet. The body was returned to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Berry, of Route 7, Elizabethton, at 4 pm Thursday, and will be lie in state until the service hour. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Flower bearers: Granddaughters and nieces. Interment will be made at the Morton Cemetery. Tetrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
