- Anna McCoury - ELIZABETHTON
ELIZABETHTON — Anna Mae Deloach McCoury, 85, Ivy Hall Nursing Home, formerly of 183 Rosewood Circle, Elizabethton, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Stella Grindstaff Deloach. She had lived a number of years in Elizabethton. She was a housewife, Mom and Nannie. Mrs. McCoury was a Charter Member of Harvest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry McCoury; and Five Brothers, Clyde, Junior, Billy, Has and J.G. Deloach.
Survivors include A Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jeff and Dee McCoury, Elizabethton; A Daughter and Son-in-Law: Neci and Pooner Powell, Elizabethton; A Step-Daughter: Dora McCoury of Georgia; A Step-Son: Sonny McCoury, Jacksonville, Florida; Five Sisters: Pauline Gentry, Emily City, Michigan, Hazel Pleasant, Butler, Mary Cassar, Concord, North Carolina, Laura Deloach and Elmina Deloach, both of Elizabethton; A Brother: Floyd Deloach, Elizabethton; Four Grandchildren: Breanna McCoury and Kristin Powell, both of Elizabethton, Tammy McCoury and Timmy McCoury, both of Jacksonville, Florida; Two Great Granddaughters of Jacksonville, Florida; and a Host of Nieces & Nephews & Friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burl Garland and Rev. Dale Greenwell officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday will be: Carl Canter, Pooner Powell, Stacy Whitson, Charles Simmons, Joseph Taylor, J.B. Shepherd, Johnny Stines and John Fisher.
A special "Thank You" to Victor & Judy Deloach and the Staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Also a Special Friend, Dorothy Buckles. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Dee McCoury, 216 West F Street, Elizabethton.
