- Thomas Gordon Deloach, 81, MSGT US Air Force Retired, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Thomas Weedman & Norma Ella Waycaster Deloach. He served 23 years in the United States Air Force, and was one of the first sentry dog trainers. He was also retired from the Budd Company. Thomas was a member of Hampton Masonic Lodge # 750 and the Hampton First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He loved fishing, animals, family, friends and laughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Jack Weedman Deloach.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Bernice Clawson Deloach. His Children: Glynis & Lee Tilley, Jr., Maryville, Tenn., Tom & Raquel Deloach, Morgantown, West Virginia, Janice & Earl Gentry, Elizabethton, Brenda & David Stamey, Pennington Gap, Virginia, Virginia & Sandy Bradley, Elizabethton, Joe & Debbie Guinn, Elizabethton. 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and lots of loved nieces & nephews.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 in Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, South Carolina. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 12:50 p.m. Thursday will be: Lee Tilley, Jr., Earl Gentry, Joe Guinn, Tom Deloach, Earl McKinney and Bobby Collins. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bill Estep, Randy Miller, Royce Gentry, Sandy Bradley, Andy White, Kayo Gentry and members of the Hampton Masonic Lodge # 750.
