- Donna Jean Shoun Campbell Adams, 77, of Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Murfreesboro, TN.
She was the daughter of the late Jesse H. and Cora Coefer Shoun. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. She was an avid bird watcher and was a former member of (T.O.S.) Tennessee Ornithological Society.
She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Sycamore Chapter. Mrs. Adams was a volunteer at the local hospital as a Pink Lady and also volunteered her time at the local crisis center. She enjoyed reading and especially enjoyed Civil War and World War II History books.
Survivors include her husband, John W. Adams, of the home, two daughters, Deanna Lee Campbell Davis and husband, Wesley T. Davis, Cameron, NC, Dani Sue Campbell Thompson and husband, Cory M. Thompson, Murfreesboro, TN, three granddaughters, Jessica Davis Rattlelade and husband, David Rattlelade, Raleigh, NC, Nicole Leigh Davis, Marquette, MI, Kaylen Hall and husband, Drew Hall, Murfreesboro, TN, two great grandchildren, Natalee Hall and Baylee Hall.
The family will hold a memorial service for Mrs. Adams at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton with Rev. John Shuck and Rev. John Martin, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM in the church, prior to the service on Saturday.
