James C. Parsons. . .
James (Charlie) Parsons, age 54, of Kennett Square, Pa. died in the Chester County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born at Shouns, he was a son of Mrs. Ellen Parsons and the late Baxter Parsons. He had been a resident of Southern Chester County for five years.
Mr. Parsons had been employed as a custodian at the Kennett Consoldilated[sic] School for 3 years, until retirement due to ill health.
He was a member of the Baptist Church at Shingletown.
Survivors include his wife, Cora Ellis Parsons; four sons Joe of Kennett Square, James C. Jr., of Avondale, Kmike[sic] and Baxson both of the home; a daughter, Shirley, wife of Dan Price of Kelton, Pa.; his mother; three brothers, William of West Grove, Pa., Roderick of New London, Pa., and Emmitt of Mountain City; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Chappell and Mrs. Manuel Combs of Mountain City, Mrs. James Winters of Landenberg, Pa. and Mrs. Walter McMichael of Kennett Square; and 11 grandchildren.
