- Louise Markland Deloach, 88, Walker Street, Elizabethton, went to be with her
Heavenly Father Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in the Johnson City Medical Center
after a brief illness.
Mrs. Deloach was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late
Charlie and Bertha Jordan Markland. In addition to her parents, she was
preceded in death by her husband, Lester "Buck" Deloach, two brothers, Floyd
and Harry Markland, and a sister, Carrie Markland. Mrs. Deloach retired from
the Bemberg Corporation. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church
and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Sue and Terry McKinney and
Genia Jenkins, all of Elizabethton; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Mary
Deloach, Elizabethton; three brothers, Bobby Joe Markland and Ed Markland,
both of Elizabethton, and Howard Markland, Flushing, Mich.; a sister, Janelle
Nidiffer, Elizabethton; a sister-in-law, Opal Deloach, Elizabethton; six
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a
very special friend, Lola Eller.
Funeral services for Mrs. Deloach will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, March
18, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cecil "Nick" Bradshaw and Rev. Elmer
Carter officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Phil Poston. Interment will
be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who are requested to
assemble at the funeral chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, will be Jeff McKinney,
Mike Jenkins, Jerry Jenkins, Gary Deloach, Ricky Markland, Mark Markland and
Buddy Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry McKinney, Arvil McKinney,
Pink McKinney, Roy McKinney, Randy Markland and Lynn Markland. The family will
receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Friends may
call at the residence at anytime.
