- Mrs. Dorothy Faye Deloach, 70, 163 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton, died Friday, June 7, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness.
Mrs. Deloach was a Miami native and had lived in Elizabethton since 1947. She was a daughter of the late Dotson and Elizabeth Barnes Marrs.
She was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Deloach retired from Univac.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Marrs; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Albert James Deloach; two daughters, Gwen Hendrix, Hampton, and Libby Shipley, Oak Ridge; one son, Tony Deloach, Elizabethton; two sisters, Jackie Atchley, Maryville, and Myrle Longmire, Rockwood; one brother, Clay Marrs, Johnson City; five granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Dorothy Fay Deloach, age 70, 163 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton, who died Friday, June 7, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2002, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with the Rev. Mike Hyder and the Rev. Jim Archer officiating. The graveside service and interment will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2002, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Raymond Calhoun, Jerry Young, Howard Julian, AC Burgess, Lewis Honeycutt, George Smith, Tip Smith and James Glover. Honorary pallbearers will be DC Simerly, Deacons at Hampton First Baptist Church, Dwayne Calhoun, Wayne Deloach, Dr. Scott Caudle, Dr. Daniel Paul, Bob McClain, Larry Shoun, the Rev. Tim Ross, Jim Andrews and Ronnie Morton. Everyone will meet at the funeral home chapel at 12:15 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2002, to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2002, in the Riverside Chapel at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, or friends may also visit at the residence, 163 Swimming Pool Road, Hampton, any time. Additional survivors include one son-in-law, Bobby Shipley, Oak Ridge; one daughter-in-law, Ginger Deloach, Elizabethton; and five granddaughters, Heather Hopland, Bluff City, Curry Deloach, Johnson City, Glenna Shipley, Karen Shipley and Amy Shipley, all of Oak Ridge.
