- Bernice M. "Bibi" Kuziola, age 93, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Kuziola was a Washington County native and a daughter of the late Arvil David and Bert Harwood Miller.
She was veteran of the U.S. Navy's WAVES during WWII, where she was stationed in Bainbridge Island, WA, and always spoke fondly of the time she spent there.
Mrs. Kuziola retired from her position at the V.A., Mountain Home, after twenty-five years of service in the dietetics department.
She was an active member of St. Mary's Church, and volunteered her secretarial services to them for many years.
More recently, she volunteered her sewing skills to Central Baptist Church and made 750 pairs of shorts in the past year and a half for their overseas missions, which help to clothe children in foreign countries.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kuziola was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard H. Kuziola; two brothers, Frank Miller and A.D. Miller; a sister, Eileen Milsap; a grandson, Joshua Bunch; as well as her dear friend, Fr. Val LaFrance.
Survivors include her son, Michael Kuziola and wife, Roberta, Johnson City; her daughter, Kim Robinson and husband, James, Johnson City; two granddaughters, Katie Bunch, Pullman, WA, and Kayla Kuziola, Gray; special friends, Jacky Lancaster, Church Hill, and Richard Bunch, Lugoff, SC; several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Schoondyke and his staff at Karing Hearts Cardiology for all of their aid and support.
The private funeral service for Mrs. Kuziola will be held at Appalachian Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, with interment to follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park.
