- JOHNSON CITY - Janet Leigh Isenberg, former married name Robinson, of Johnson City TN passed away February 19, 2019. Born August 17, 1955. (Picture is from her youth.)
She was born and raised in Johnson City, and the third daughter born to the late Lois Evelyn (Deloach) and Karl Isenberg. She was a former English teacher at ETSU, having received her Master's degree in English Literature from the same institution. More than anything she enjoyed dogs, reading and cooking for holidays.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Karla Annette Birchfield, Lisa Robyn Wilhoit, and her brother, Larry Keith Isenberg.
Surviving family is her daughter, Courtney (Robinson) Thrift and husband Lee of Winston Salem NC, ex-husband and part-time care-taker Kenneth Robinson of Johnson City TN, Neices Candice (Candi) (Earp) Ayers of TN, Amy (Isenberg) Kelley of TN, Nephews Kyle Shannon Earp and wife Becky of TN, and Adam Isenberg of GA. She also had extended family with cousins, grand-nieces and nephews and great grandnephews.
