MRS. ETOILA HICKS STOUT...
... 61, of Butler Rte 4, died in Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, Sunday evening, March 10, after an illness of four years.
She was a native of Carter County and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was also a former teacher in the county school system.
Survivors are her husband, J. Blaine Stout; two sons, M/Sgt. Reuben S. Stout of Williston, S. C., and Bert Stout of Flint, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. Vera Jordan of Mountain City, Mrs. Helen Walsh of Columbia, S.C.; Mrs. Mary Alice Johnson of Knoxville, Mrs. Ann Greer of Butler Rte 4, and a foster daughter, Mrs. Pansy Phipps of Knoxville; one brother, Robert L. Hicks of Coolidge, Ariz.; and 15 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Worley and H. T. Mabry officiating.
Burial was in the Stout cemetery.
