MRS. MINNIE D. REECE
MOUNTAIN CITY, Dec. 8 – Mrs. Minnie Dougherty Reece, 66, died at her home here Tuesday at 10 p.m. after several months' illness. She was the widow of the late John E. Reece and daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary W. Dougherty. She was a member of Mountain City Baptist Church.
Survivors are four sisters, Mrs. M. L. Shoun and Miss Margaret Dougherty of Mountain City, Mrs. Fannie Gambill of Athens, Tenn., and Mrs. Cora Rominger of Floweree, Mont.; one brother, T. H. Dougherty of Richmond, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be conducted from Mountain City Baptist Church Thursday at 2 p.m. The body will lie in state in the church an hour before the service. The Rev. Joel H. Ponder will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be nephews Jack and Ray Shoun, Tom and Eugene Gambill, John B., Ed and Judson Dougherty. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons and special friends. Flower bearers will be members of the Young Matrons Sunday School Class of the church. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
