- KINGSPORT - Edward Eugene Bombailey, 65, of 4113 Clearview Street, passed away Wednesday (July 24, 2002) at his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Bombailey was a life long resident of Hawkins and Sullivan Counties and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Starnes and Gertie Thacker Bombailey, one grand-daughter, Angie Fleenor, two brothers, Tilman and Billy Ray Bombailey.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Bombailey, Gabriel and Michelle Bombailey, all of Kingsport; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Fleenor, Church Hill; Teresa and Stonach Daniell, Shelia Bombailey, all of Kingsport; Merita and Tommy Browder, Hilton, Virginia; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Albert Bombailey and Howard Bombailey both of Church Hill; four sisters, Mattie Hensley and Norma Jean Marshall both of Church Hill; Louise Goins, Chattanooga, TN; and Faye Greene, Baltimore, Maryland; several nieces and nephews and many friends and special long time friends, Jody, Joyce and David Sloan.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the home of his daughter, Teresa Daniell, 4113 Clearview Street.
Services will be conducted Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Browder officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Browder, David Browder, Robby Thompson, Shane Daniell, Mike Bombailey and David Sloan.
Honorary bearers will be David and Darrell Greene.
