- Alta "Nana" Treadway, 67, 1411 St. Louis Street, Johnson City, formerly of Elizabethton, died Monday, August 28, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Treadway was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late John and Ina Nidiffer Treadway.
Mrs. Treadway was a member of Clark Street Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lorrie and Gordon Hoyle, Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Mae Lacey, Johnson City; four sisters, Louise Arnold and Virginia Shipley, both of Johnson City, Faye Norris and Helen Thomas, both of Elizabethton; two grandchildren, April Grindstaff and Michael Trivette, both of Johnson City; and four step-grandchildren, Aaron Cline, Demia Smith and Shannon Hoyle, all of Johnson City, and Tammy Hoyle of Oklahoma. Two great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

TREADWAY -- Funeral services for Alta "Nana" Treadway, 67, 1411 St. Louis Street, Johnson City, formerly of Elizabethton, who died Monday, August 28, 2000, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Danny Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Treadway Cemetery in Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Rick Norris, Gordon Hoyle, Gene Norris, Ronnie Norris, Danny Norris and Ed Thomas. The family received friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence at any time.
