- Agatha Wolfe Gregg, 93, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, August 5, 2011, in Johnson City following a brief illness.
She was a native of Butler, TN, and a daughter of the late William Mack and Rose Epsie Cowan Wolfe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Gregg; and three brothers, Hyder Wolfe, Lawrence Wolfe and Mack Wolfe Jr. She was also preceded in death by Joseph Spencer Gregg.
Agatha was a retired merchant and operated Gregg's Store and Dock on Watauga Lake for over twenty-five years. She was a 1938 graduate of Watauga Academy in old Butler and was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Jerry S. Wolfe, Johnson City; three daughters, Rose Neese, Johnson City, Lynn Gregg, Vail, CO, and Norma Gregg, Jonesborough; two granddaughters, Christi Neese Downs and husband, Mark, Hinesville, GA, and Jessica Gregg, Vail, CO; one great-grandson, Martin Downs, Hinesville, GA; also survives.
Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 8, 2011, in the Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, overlooking beautiful Watauga Lake in Butler, TN.
