- ELIZABETHTON - Carl Edward Deloach, 81, Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016, at his residence.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Alfred & Elizabeth Treadway Deloach.
He is also preceded in death by brother, Jack Deloach; and sisters, Ruby Loveless and Joyce Arnett.
Mr. Deloach served in the United States Army as a cook. He was a retired truck driver having retired from Carter Enterprise. Mr. Deloach was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Grindstaff Deloach; a daughter, Kathy Grindstaff; and his special friend and care giver, Joy Peterson; brothers, Grady Deloach and Jim Deloach; sisters, Charlotte Walker, Shirley Smith, Carolyn Jenkins and Judy Blackburn; in-laws, Jack & Josie Shook, Dave & Polly Grindstaff and Elic Grindstaff; several nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Monday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating.
Graveside Service will be private in the Grindstaff Cemetery.Music will be provided by Rita Church. Active Pallbearers will be: David Grindstaff, Richard Grindstaff, Bobby Burrow, Kathy Kyte, Karla Marsh, Clay Parker, David Tolley.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence.
