MRS. J. I. NETHERLY
Mrs. Nancy Catherine Reece Netherly, age 73, died at her home Tuesday evening at 6:00 o'clock after an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Netherly was born Dec. __, 1869, and was married to J. I. Netherly, Dec. 4, 18__. She had been a member of the Missionary Baptist church for the past 55 years.
Survivors are her husband, Jacob I. Netherly; one son Smith Netherly, Butler; five daughters, Mrs. Allen Courtner, Butler; June Holly, Mrs. Jerome Netherly Crockett, Mrs. R. L. Smith, Mrs. Lee Mace, all of Elizabethton; one stepson, Oliver Netherly, Butler; 22 grandchildren including John R. Crockett, Fort Benn__, Ga., and Frank Crockett, Elizabethton who have made their home with her, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:__ o'clock from the Calvary Baptist church with the Rev. James Sherwood, Rev. M. K. Cobble, ___ Cox, Carl Roberts officiating. Burial will be made in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be the nephews, Abner Reece, Jeff Wagoner, Raleigh Tester, B. Carr__ Reece, Bob Wagoner, John Bowers, Newton Reece, Hiram Reece.
Flower bearers will be selected from friends at the funeral.
The body will remain in the chapel of the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home until time for the services Thursday.
