NOAH ALVIN ISAAC
Noah Alvin Isaac[sic] was born Oct. 27, 1875, at Mabel, N. C., and died. Jan. 9, 1946, at Glade Springs, Va., at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 13 days.
He was united in marriage to Callie R. Stout on Jan. 7, 1900. She preceded him in death seven years ago. To this union were born 16 children, 10 girls and 6 boys: Mrs. Jane Norris, Doeville; Mrs. Dave Greene, Vilas; Mrs. Sally May, Glade Springs, Va.; Mrs. Joe Reed, Elizabethton; Mrs. Edward Anderson, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Curtis Adkins, Harts, W.Va., Mrs. Francis McGuire, Valle Crucis; Mrs. Wilburn Rominger, Reece; Mrs. Arvil Arnold, Butler, Tenn.; Miss Ruth Isaacs, Glade Springs, Va.; Ed Isaacs, St. Albans, W. Va.; Boone Isaacs, Shady Valley; Lawson Isaacs, Elk Park; Robert Isaacs, Abingdon, Va.; Pvt. Conley Clay Isaacs, Camp Lee, Va.
Mr. Isaacs[sic] professed faith in Christ in 1925 and united with Forrest Grove Baptist Church, where he remained a member until his death. Surviving are the 16 children, 54 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted from Union Baptist Church Jan. 10, by Rev. R. C. Eggers, and interment was in the nearby cemetery.
