Nick was a member of The Odd Fellows Lodge. After Nick's death in 1935, Hannah lived in Valley Forge with her daughter, Mary Alice, who took care of her until her death in 1948. Mary Alice Grindstaff had married Roy Mineyard Snyder and they had eleven children: Jason Worley, Watson, Maywood, Hazel, Dudley, Wanda, Benjamin, Floyd, Roy Jr., Myrtle, and John David Grindstaff.
