- Charles Dawes DeLoach, of Hampton, entered into eternal slumber on the morning of July 4, 2010, after an extended illness.
Born October 18, 1927 in Furman, he was the son of the late Victor Oliver DeLoach and Annie Bell Wooten DeLoach.
Mr. DeLoach had retired after 32 years of service from Westinghouse Corporation in Hampton.
He was both a Mason and Shriner as well as being a very talented musician.
Mr. DeLoach was a member of Steep Bottom Baptist Church near Furman.
He is survived by his brother, Victor O. DeLoach, Jr. of Collinsville, VA; sister, Dorothy Richardene Kelly of Lexington, SC; a special friend, Lorene Freeman of Hampton and a number of nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Steep Bottom Cemetery.
