- Mack M. Tolley
Mack Mitchell Tolley, 66, 6551 Highway 19E, Roan Mountain, died Tuesday,
May 22, 2001, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Tolley was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Jim and Posie
Guinn Tolley. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three
brothers.
Mr. Tolley was a retired employee of Republic Steel, Canton, Ohio. He was a
Free Will Baptist and attended the Valley Forge House of Prayer.
Survivors include his wife, Callie Johnson Tolley; two daughters, Judy Byrd,
Johnson City, and Molly Lingerfelt, Hampton; three sons, Terry L. Tolley and
Leslie Keith Tolley, both of Elizabethton, and Mitchell Tolley, Hampton;
three sisters, Irene Davis, Jonesborough, Ethel Coffey, East Canton, Ohio, and
Fay O'Shaughnesse, Canton, Ohio; and four brothers, McKinley Tolley, North
Industry, Ohio, Earl Tolley, Louisville, Ohio, Dillard Tolley, East Canton,
Ohio, and Cecil Tolley, Hampton. Eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
TOLLEY -- Funeral services for Mack Mitchell Tolley, 66, 6551 Highway 19E,
Roan Mountain, who died Tuesday, May 22, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m.
Thursday, May 24, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Russell
officiating. Music will be provided by The Blood Bought Quartet. Graveside
services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, in the Tolley Cemetery,
Whitehead Hill. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the
cemetery at 1050 a.m. Friday, will be Landon Lingerfelt, Steve Byrd, Michael
Tolley, Ikie Tolley, Billy Hurley and Ronnie Reece. Honorary pallbearers will be
the Staff of the Second and Fourth Floors and ICU of Johnson City Medical
Center and the men of Valley Forge House of Prayer. The family will receive
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at
the residence of a son, Mitchell Tolley, 104 Whittemore Road, Hampton
(Fairview Community). Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 1050 a.m.
