- Source: "Southwest Virginia Kin," Volume II, by Ethel Evans Albert, Kingsport,TN, 1978. This source, (sent to me by M. B. Jones, Houston, TX 7/1997) provided the information about the family of Emmett Bucles, some of his descendants, and a "possible" pedigree that differs from the one I have previously recorded. There may be some error here in his immediate pedigree, but both pedigrees are in the same Buckles family. Pg. 365: "Emmet Buckles, son of Rebecca Gilmer and Abram Buckles, poss. son of ____ Booher and Edmund Buckles, poss. son of AnnBrown and Robert Buckles, Sr."
