- Pauline Oliver Garrison, 86, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Dana E. and Anna Nidiffer Oliver. She was a Cook at Ivy Hall Nursing Home for several years. Mrs. Garrison was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church.
She was an avid Atlanta Braves and Lady Vols fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cale Garrison, in 2006; by two sisters: Utah Hyder and Edith Oliver and a brother: Roby Oliver.
Survivors include her Care Giver and Great Nephew: Jason Hyder and his wife, Melissa, Hampton; her Nephews: Jerry Hyder and wife, Barbara, Elizabethton; Two Nieces: Judy Richardson and husband, Roger, Elizabethton, and Debbie Sneed and husband, Ron, Kingsport; Her Great Nephew: Justin Hyder, Jarrod Hyder, Jeremy Sneed and Terry Sneed; Two Sisters: Jane Hoss and Gladys Oliver, both of Elizabethton; Her special Care Giver: Janet Hyder.
Graveside Service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. David Siebenaler, Minister, officiating.
Burial will follow the service. Active Pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, will be: Justin Hyder, Jason Hyder, Jarrod Hyder, Jerry Hyder, Jeremy Sneed and Terry Sneed. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family.
