- Ruth Trivett - EAST RIDGE
EAST RIDGE — Mrs. Ruth Trivett, 94, of East Ridge, departed this life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 13, 2006.
She was a long time member of Piney Flats Presbyterian Church in Piney Flats, Tennessee, where she played the piano for over 30 years. She attended McFarland United Methodist Church, Rossville, Georgia, for the last 12 years. She loved music, the outdoors, watching sporting events and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Trivett Sr.; and her parents, Arthur and Vesta Shell; and a brother, Thurman Shell.
Survivors include her children, Joyce (Roy) Brookshire, Chattanooga, Bill (Ann) Trivett, Nashville; grandchildren, Debbie (Kenny) Parsons, Mike (Temple) Brookshire, and Danny (Rhonda) Brookshire, all of Chattanooga, Shelley (Clay) Dye, Wilmington, NC, Paige Trivett, Washington, DC, Chase Trivett, Nashville; sister, Mary Emma Martin, Piney Flats, TN; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces & nephews.
Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday at Piney Flats Presbyterian Church, Piney Flats, TN, with Dr. Robert Rainwater and Rev. Gary Grogg officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Shell Cemetery, Piney Flats, with grandsons Michael Brookshire, Danny Brookshire, Chase Trivett, and nephews Don King, Carroll Shell, Larry Torbett, John Trivett and Rick Trivett serving as pallbearers.
The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Phyllis Rice for her excellent and loving care for the past 2 years that allowed Ruth to live at her home until her death.
