ROSS GARRISON
Ross Garrison, 49, of 518 Race Street, died in a local clinic Friday at 1:45 a.m. Mr. Garrison suffered a heart attack while fishing in Doe River just below the Elk Avenue Bridge about 10:00 a.m. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Garrison; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Mutter of Elizabethton and Sue Garrison of the home; one son, Arlin Garrison of the home; four brothers, Ollie, Ben, and Jack Garrison all of Elizabethton and Arthur Garrison of Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Perry and Mrs. Elmer Deloach both of Elizabethton; five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Freewill Baptist Church Sunday at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. James Francisco officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. Y. Elkins. Music will be furnished by the Hardin Brothers Quartet. Burial will be in the Nave Cemetery in Siam.
Active pallbearers will be Delaney Powell, Brown Burrow, H. D. Harrison, Harlow Crosswhite, Frank DeLoach, Rance Ledford, Coy Fair and Charles Perry.
Flower bearers will be the Phoebean Sunday School Class of the First Freewill Baptist Church.
The body was taken to the home Saturday morning from the chapel of the Tetrick Funeral Home.
