- Faye Robinson Pleasant, 78, 649 Old Highway 67, Butler, went to be with her Lord Saturday, April 26, 2008, at the Mountain City Care & Rehab Center.
A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Willie J. and Vina Neal Robinson. Faye was a 1948 graduate of Johnson County High School. She was a member of the First Assemble of God, Mountain City and was a former member of the Little Doe Baptist Church where she was active in several organizations of the church over the Years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Klan B. Pleasant (November 16, 2004), by a son Randy Pleasant, a sister, Stella Dillon and two brothers: Edgar & Edsel Robinson.
Survivors include Two Daughters & Sons-In-Law: Diana & Earl Howard, Jr., Shady Valley and Evelyn & Mark Thomas, Meadowview, Virginia. Four Grandchildren: Wayne Thomas and his wife Gina, Tuesday Pope, Randy Pleasant, Jr. and Joseph Howard. Five Great Grandchildren: Micah, Isaiah and Seth Thomas, Gavin & Bridon Pope. A Brother: James H. Robinson, Mountain City. A Sister: Vella Dailey of Ohio. Several Nieces & Nephews. Two Sisters-in-Law: Mrs. Ona Long and Mrs. Louise Pleasant both of Butler.
A Service to Celebrate the life of Faye Pleasant will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Little Doe Baptist Church with the Rev. Kreg Smith, Chaplain Kaye Florence and Dr. Willie Malone officiating. Music will be provided by the Little Doe Baptist Church Choir.
The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Dr. Michael Kimbro, The Mountain City Care & Rehab Center, the Caris Health Care and also her church families.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Little Doe Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Memory of Faye to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tn. 37683 or the Building Fund, Little Doe Baptist Church, 323 Doe Creek Road, Butler, Tenn. 37640.
In accordance with her wishes her body was given to the James H. Quillen VA Medical School.
