Notes	GARRISON, Bessie "Elizabethton Star," Saturday, May 3, 1941 MRS. BESSIE GARRISON Mrs. Bessie Garrison, age 51, died at her home at Valley Forge, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of two weeks. Mrs. Garrison was the widow of the late W. C. Garrison. She was a native of Carter county and a member of the Christian church. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ina Keller; five sons, Roy, Robert, Kale and Clarence of Valley Forge, and Earnest of Stoney Creek; one brother, W. L. Headrick, Valley Forge; three sisters, Miss Fannie Headrick, Mrs. N. T. Williams, Mrs. James Treadway, Valley Forge; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Christian church at Valley Forge Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with the Rev. John Meredith and Rev. John Hall officiating. Burial will be in Smith cemetery. Active pallbearers: Arthur Treadway, Clayton Williams, Paul Headrick, Bruce Bowers, Earnest Meredith, Fred Williams, John Van Huss and Carl Treadway. The flowerbearers[sic] will be the members of Mrs. Garrison's Sunday school class. The body will be removed from the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home to the home Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
