William Ray Fletcher. . .
William Ray Fletcher, age 63 of Butler, Route 1, Dry Run, died in a Knoxville Hospital Friday at 6:45 p.m. after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Johnson County, son of the late William and Matilda O'Neal Fletcher. He was a farmer and member of the Midway Baptist Church.
Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Bertha A. Fletcher, Butler; two sons, Bill Fletcher, Butler and Calvin K. Fletcher, Butler; one daughter, Mrs. Ola Mae Laws of Butler; one brother, Henry Fletcher, Butler; six sisters, Mrs. Lula Orten, Mrs. Myrtle Cardwell, and Mrs. Dora Orten, all of Johnson City, Mrs. Dellie Grindstaff and Mrs. Chelsie Clark and Mrs. Vertie Phillips all of Butler; five grandchildren; also a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted from Midway Baptist Church Monday at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Carl Wilson, Rev. Clyde Campbell and Rev. Carroll Fletcher offiicating[sic]. Burial was in Fletcher cemetery.
