- Melinda "Linda" Loucille Snyder Deloach, 72, of Elizabethton, peacefully went home to be with her Shepherd Thursday, January 16, 2014.
She was the daughter of the late Hartsel and Cynthia Harless Snyder and was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Spencer Gene Deloach; one daughter, Teresa Ellison; three brothers, Joe, Archie and Haskel Snyder; and two sisters, Kathleen Price and Pauline Tallman.
She was a member of True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church and a dear friend to many. She was also a faithful member of the local TOPS Club. She read her Bible daily and was a true Prayer Warrior.
Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Davis, of Watauga, and Melissa Hall and husband, Vern, of Johnson City; two sons, Ricky Ellison and wife, Tammy, of Piney Flats, and Sammy Ellison and wife, April, of Johnson City; five special granddaughters, Sarah Davis Cole and husband, Joshua, BreAnna Ellison Doss and husband, Matt, Charity Greene, Rebecca Ellison and Patience Hall; five special grandsons, Samuel Ellison, Micah Ellison, Jordan Ellison, Dustin Ellison and Spencer Hall; and three great grandchildren, Laura Storie, Marcus and Emmalyn Cole. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family requests the comfort and honor of your presence at the funeral service for Mrs. Deloach on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, Gap Creek Road, with Pastor Dean Presnell and Brother Steve Gregory, officiating. Music will be provided by her daughter, Melissa Hall, and Johnny Palmer.
The family will receive friends at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2014; or at the residence of a daughter, Melissa Hall, 3301 Martin Farm Road, Johnson City, TN 37601 at anytime.
The graveside service will follow the service on Sunday in the Highland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her sons, Ricky and Sammy Ellison, and her grandsons.
