- Goldie Tolley
Mrs. Goldie Tolley, 79, 114 Cable Cemetery Road, Hampton, died Wednesday,
June 27, 2001, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Tolley was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late
Brownlow and Dovie Stevens Tolley. She was preceded in death by her husband,
George Tolley, in 1996, two daughters, Roma Jean Honeycutt and Norma Jerlean
Tolley, a son, Marvin Dale Tolley, and by two sisters and four brothers.
Mrs. Tolley was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church and was a
homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Erma Roberts, Johnson City; two sons, Curtis
Steve Tolley and Benny Tolley, both of Hampton; a sister, Gracie Whitehead,
Hampton; a brother, Ikie Tolley, Elizabethton; four grandchildren; a
great-grandson; a special niece, Joyce Arnett, Roan Mountain, and several other nieces
and nephews.

TOLLEY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Goldie Tolley, 79, 114 Cable Cemetery
Road, Hampton, who died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m.
Friday, June 29, at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with the Rev.
Bernie Jones and the Rev. Gary Whitehead officiating. Music will be by the
Fairview Free Will Baptist Quartet. Graveside services and interment will be at
11 a.m. Saturday, June 30, in the Brownlow Tolley Cemetery, Fairview
Community. Active pallbearers will be Steven Tolley, Charlie Arnett, Larry Tolley,
David Tolley, D.L. Honeycutt and Keith Tolley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud
Whitehead, the Staff of Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, the Staff of
Home Health Care and D.H. Lowe. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1015
a.m. Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive
friends at the funeral home from 630 to 8 p.m. Friday. Friends may also call
at the residence, 114 Cable Cemetery Road, Hampton, at any time. These
