  Notes	Richard was overseer for Fulton at Liberty Hall, Virginia for seven years. During the War of 1812 he joined the Light Horse Brigade Company and marched to Richmond, Virginia. When they arrived they found that peace had been declared. He served one month and assisted in removing the Indians. He went to Johnson County, Tennessee with his father and family in 1816. He was a farmer, stockman, coroner, Justice of the Peace and was in the legislature at Knoxville. His farm was the original Donnelly Homestead on Wilson Creek one and half miles north of what is now Mountain City, Johnson County, Tennessee. Once he rode 400 miles on horse back to Vigo County, Indiana to see his son, William A. Donnelly, stayed for two days and rode back home.
