- Robert G. Deloach - ELIZABETHTON
Robert Glen Deloach, 79, 335 Tenn. Highway 91, Elizabethton, died Friday, June 1, 2001, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home.
Mr. Deloach was a Butler native and a son of the late Nat and Pearl Whaley Deloach.
He was a retired painter and farmer.
Mr. Deloach was a World War II Army veteran. He received two Purple Hearts, the Oak Leaf Cluster and four Bronze Service Stars.
Mr. Deloach was a member of Pierce Baptist Church, Butler.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Manuel Deloach and Spencer Deloach.
Survivors include three sisters, Ina Mae Deloach, of the home, Pauline Poole, Elizabethton, and Effie Garland, Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
DELOACH -- Funeral services for Robert Glen Deloach, 79, 335 Highway 91,
Elizabethton, who died Friday, June 1, 2001, will be conducted at 8 p.m.
Sunday, June 3, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Oddis Dugger Jr.
and the Rev. Russell Potter officiating. Music will be provided by Kathy
Pierce and Gail Elliott. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m.
Monday, June 4, in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home, with the Rev. Harvey
White officiating. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Captain
Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers, who are
requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Monday, will be Junior
McQueen, John Hammitt, Johnny Pierce, Darrell Ward, Ronnie Oliver, Harvey
White and Montie Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews
and his many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and
friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Monday to go to the
cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
