CLYDE TOLLEY
Clyde Howard Tolley, age 29, died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital this morning at 3:45 o'clock.
Tolley, a native of Carter county, was a former employee of the North American Rayon Corporation.
Survivors are his wife, Nell Arwood Tolley; two sons, Mutt and Don; one daughter, Wanda; mother, Mrs. Rosa Tolley; one sister, Mrs. Shields Davis; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Tolley.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Little Doe church on Simerly Creek Friday afternoon at two o'clock with the Rev. John Hall, Rev. Stephen Grigsby and Alan Cates officiating.
Burial will be made in Collins Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Earl Johnson, Charlie Jackson, Dave Tolley, Ed Bass, George Wagner, and Zeke Tolley.
Flowerbearers[sic] will be Evelyn Jones, Virginia Potter, Florine Ellis, Ora Miller, Helen Miller, Winnie Beafield, Mary Waycaster, Florence Rash, Mezela Jones, Leola Jones, Betty Ann Brummitt; Marie Kemp, Fannie Kemp, Coline Simerly, Verlie Street, Maude Potter, Leola Stevens, Iva Lee Banner, Judy Miller, Mary Alice Carden and Georgia Carden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete and Gurney Campbell, Ike Roberts, George Morton, Harlan Horton, Oris Malone and Herman Jones.
The body will be removed from the Roy Hathaway Funeral Home to the home at Hampton this afternoon at five o'clock
