- JOHNSON CITY - Glen Dale Beam, 78, Johnson City passed away Monday, June 26, 2023 in the Ballad Hospice House of Bristol. He was a native of Carter County but had lived in Washington County most of his life. Glen was a son of the late Elzie and Lois McKinney Beam. He worked as a Truck Driver for many years. Glen was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Marines. He attended East Watauga Avenue Baptist Church.
Glen is survived by a large loving family and friends. Special thanks to his sister and caregiver, Emma Dean Hale and to Mike and Peggy Dickenson for the loving care and support they provided.
Graveside services for Glen will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 29, 2023 in McCarty Cemetery, intersection of McCarty Church Road and 11-E. Rev. Mike Dickenson will officiate and Rev. Jim Chatman will provide special music. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
