- Florence Rutter Age 83, of St. Petersburg, FL died Thursday, December 4, 2003, at Edward White Hospital. She was born in Wilmington, DE and went to FL from Linwood, PA. She was a graduate of Alexis I. DuPont High School class of 1938. She was a reading specialist for the State of Delaware and later for the Montessori program. She earned a bachelor of arts degree at the University of Delaware and a master's degree at West Chester State College in PA. She was a world traveler and enjoyed swimming and skiing. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of St. Petersburg. Survivors include a son, Lawrence, of Pinellas Park; 3 daughters, Gerry McGinnes of Pinellas Park, Diane Lawrence of Grand Island, NY and Louise Stout of Madison WI; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. The service will be held December 9, at 2 pm at the R. LEE WILLIAMS & SON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 49the Street, N. Chapel St., St. Petersburg. Donations can be made to the local Unitarian Universalist Church; or the National Wildlife Federation.
