- Ella Hart Clyburn, 103, of Johnson City, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at the Christian Care Center.
She was a native of Elizabethton, but had lived in Johnson City most of her life; daughter of the late Caswell "Cad" and Lula Mae "Lu" Glover Hart.
Ella had retired as manager of the cafeteria at North Side Elementary Schools for many years. She loved and served the Lord all her life and felt that was the secret of her longevity. Ella was a volunteer for the Red Cross.
In addition to her parents, her loving husband of 65 years, Thomas Clyburn (1982) had preceded her in death. She was the last of her original eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: her two daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Rex Brown, of Jonesborough, Jewell and Kenneth Tittle, of Houston, TX; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dewey and Patricia Clyburn, of Johnson City and Lee Clyburn, of Gray; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Louise McKinney.
A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 26, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Dr. J. Andrew White.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m.
A committal service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2012, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
