- TELFORD - Joe Ferrell, 77, Telford departed from his earthly life on Saturday, June 3, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born in Johnson City to the late George and Mary Tolley Ferrell. He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School where he played basketball. Joe was also a Little League Coach for 20 years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where he frequently drove the church bus and assisted in the nursery. Joe’s career began at Allied Metals at age 17 and worked there until his retirement. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Roxie Jones and Carolyn Williams and three brothers, Don Brummett, Lester Brummett and Kyle Ferrell.
Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Reaves Ferrell; a son, Larry Ferrell and his wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason), Lydia, Gabe, Jake, Colton; great-grandson, Evan; a sister, Gail Ferrell; a brother, Gerald Brummett; also, several nieces and nephews.
