- Florence Katherine Stevens, 84, Johnson City passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Elizabethton and was a daughter of the late Wally Thomas Richardson and Annie Pearl Williams Richardson. Mrs. Stevens was a charter member of the Y Freewill Baptist Church n Johnson City. She had worked for the Family Drive-In and Skyline Drive-In and retired from the Johnson City Mall. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis ?Hawk? Stevens in 2016; a sister, Sylvia Richardson and two brothers, Carl and Steve Richardson.
Survivors include her three children, Gary Stevens of Elizabethton, Eugene Stevens and wife, Karen of Madisonville, TN and Sandra Townsend and husband, Mike of Johnson City; three brothers, Frank Richardson and Elbert Richardson both of Elizabethton and Harley Richardson of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Christopher Stevens, Cody Stevens, Eugene Stevens Jr., James Miller and Justin Miller; seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Sarah, Katherine, Jase, Case and Skyler Stevens and Travis Miller; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brandon Martin and Amy Moses, Chris, Chad and Alicia Townsend, Shea Leigh Moses and Talon and Lilly Martin.
Graveside services for Mrs. Stevens will be conducted at 2:30 PM Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in the Roselawn Memory Park with Rev. Johnny Richardson officiating.

The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City from 1:00 to 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Mrs. Stevens sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
