Hal Walker Sherfey, 79, Sherfey Rd., Jonesborough, died Sun., Feb 1, 1998 at Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Sherfey was a Washington County native and a son of the late George Bacon and Elizabeth Ann Walker Sherfey. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. Mr. Sherfey was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and his stepmother, Lena Whetsel Sherfey Whaley.
