- Mr. Clay Albert Perry, 95, of the Ed Williams Road, Zionville, died Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2004, at Watauga Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 13, 1909 in Watauga County, a son of John Wesley and Rose Greene Perry.
Mr. Perry was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include four daughters, five sons, one sister, two sister-in-laws, and one brother-in-law.
Twenty-six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren also survive.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bessie Sanders Perry; and his second wife, Ola Beach Perry; one daughter, Helen Beach; four sons, Grady, Johnny, Carlton and Estel Perry; two sisters, Pauline Greer and Grace Hart; four brothers, Charles, Tom, Woodrow and Odell Perry.
Services were be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Jeff Wood and the Rev. Steven LeaShomb. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
